Ioana Colfescu

Ioana Colfescu is a Principal Research Fellow in Climate and Machine Learning at the University of St Andrews, leading a research group focused on computational science, machine learning, and climate dynamics to address climate change issues. In addition to this role, Ioana serves as a member of the Peer Review College for EPSRC and holds various positions at the National Centre for Atmospheric Science, including Site Lead for NCAS Scotland and Digital Atmosphere Programme Leader. Contributions to Climate Change AI and the Royal Meteorological Society involve active participation in committees. Previous experience includes a Visiting Researcher role at the University of Oxford, work at the University of Edinburgh as an Honorary Fellow, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at George Mason University.
