Karine Lasaracina has extensive work experience in the field of digital museum management. Karine started their career in 1999 as a Scientific Attache in the Library department at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. In 2000, they worked as a researcher at the Getty Institute before joining GITP as an assistant. In 2003, they returned to the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium as a Scientific Attache in the Digital Museum department. Karine was responsible for digitizing the museum's collections and making them accessible through various digital platforms. Karine'srole also included overseeing the setup of a new digitization workshop and managing the photographic services. Since 2018, Karine holds the position of Head of Digital Museum, where they focus on the development of digital applications such as virtual reality tools and virtual exhibitions.
Karine Lasaracina attended the Institut de journalisme from 2002 to 2003. During this time, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Prior to that, they studied at the Université catholique de Louvain from 1993 to 1998, where they successfully completed their bachelor's degree in History of art.
