Maria Piacente has extensive experience in the museum industry. Maria worked at LORD Cultural Resources for over 24 years, starting in 1996 as a Vice President specializing in interpretive planning, content development, and project management for cultural projects. Maria has a strong background in museological theory and incorporates leading-edge technological applications in their work. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Archaeology and Near Eastern History as well as a Master's degree in Museum Studies from the University of Toronto. In 2021, Maria joined the Royal Ontario Museum as the Senior Vice President of Exhibitions and Gallery Planning, where they play a key role in creating and managing the museum's exhibition and permanent gallery program.
