Helen Richards

Helen Richards is an experienced professional in community engagement and volunteer management, currently serving as the Head of Volunteering and Public Engagement at the Royal Osteoporosis Society since March 2022. Prior to this, Helen held the position of Partnership Manager, Wales at Family Fund Business Services, where responsibilities included managing the Partner Network for the Discretionary Assistance Fund in Wales and developing training programs for frontline staff. Earlier roles included serving as Volunteers & Secondment Executive at The Prince's Trust, where management of volunteers and corporate engagement was key, and as Fundraising and Communication Manager at Taff Housing Association. Helen’s extensive experience in community development began at Pontygwaith Regeneration Partnership Ltd and includes roles at Rhondda Housing Association and Tai Trothwy, showcasing a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and fostering community improvement. Educational background includes a BSc in Housing from the University of Wales, along with qualifications in leadership and management from Sussex Business School.
