Matt Latham has been working in the software development field since 2016. From 2016 to 2017, they were an Apprentice Software Developer at Nashville Software School, where they studied the MEAN stack development in a full-time bootcamp. During this time, they developed single-page applications using HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Materialize, and Javascript in the Angular framework. Matt also worked with Javascript libraries such as jQuery, Handlebars, and Pug, used Git/Github to store code and collaborate with other developers on team projects, managed projects with team members using Trello, TDD with Mocha/Chia and Jasmine, created servers and RESTful API's using Node. From 2007 to 2017, Matt Latham worked as a Warranty Systems Support Analyst at Nissan Motor Corporation. Since 2017, they have been a Software Developer at Royal Solutions Group, LLC.

Matt Latham attended Vanderbilt University from 1996 to 2000 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in English/Creative Writing. In 2014, they obtained a Duolingo Spanish Fluency Beginner certification from Duolingo. In 2016, they attended Nashville Software School and obtained a Duolingo French Fluency Beginner certification from Duolingo.
