Colin Haylock possesses extensive experience in architecture and planning, currently serving as a Consultant at xsite architecture LLP since November 2021. As an Associate Expert with the Design Council since April 2021 and an Expert, Mentor, and Facilitator for the High Streets Task Force through the Institute of Place Management since October 2020, Colin actively contributes to the field. Other notable roles include Chair of the RTPI Glasgow and Strathclyde University Partnership Board, Fellow and Past President of the Royal Town Planning Institute, and member of various committees at Durham Cathedral. Colin also holds positions as Visiting Professor and Lecturer at University College London, Principal at Haylock Planning and Design, and Panel Member for the North East Design Review and Enabling Service. Volunteer work with Planning Aid England has been ongoing since April 2010. Colin's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Town and Regional Planning from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Architecture in Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Nottingham.
