Stuart Timmiss

Stuart Timmiss is an experienced urban planner and executive with a comprehensive background in planning and development across various councils in the UK. Currently, Stuart serves as the Executive Director of Place, Economy and Environment at West Northamptonshire Council since April 2021. Previous roles include Head of Development & Housing and Head of Planning and Assets at Durham County Council, as well as Head of Planning and Environmental Strategy at Gateshead Council. Stuart began a career in planning at Sedgefield Borough Council, progressing from Planning Technician to Policy Officer. Additionally, Stuart has been a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 1999. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Urban Design from Newcastle University and a diploma in Urban and Regional Studies from Sheffield Hallam University.
