George Karasmanis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. George began their career in 2006 as an Emergency Physician at Urgent Care Centre and Brockville General Hospital. In 2007, they joined Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre as an Emergency Physician and later became the Medical Director of the Emergency Department. George also worked as a Clinic Physician at Huronia Urgent Care Centre during this time. In 2008, they took on the role of a Coroner at the Coroner's Office. In 2016, George Karasmanis assumed the position of Chief Medical Information Officer at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
George Karasmanis attended Turner Fenton Secondary School in Brampton from 1989 to 1993, where they completed their high school education. Afterward, they went on to the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from 1993 to 1998. Later, they attended Queen's University from 1999 to 2006, where they obtained a Medical degree specializing in Family/Emergency Medicine.
