Lonnie J Somers

Lonnie J Somers has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to 2022. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Communications Technician at Schaeffer Electric Co., Inc. and PayneCrest Electric. In this role, they designed, installed and troubleshot low voltage systems, including voice/data, security, card access, fire alarm and CCTV, while interpreting schematics, drawings, and layouts. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as an Electrical Foreman at Kaiser Electrical Contractors, Inc., where they designed and managed the installation of low voltage communication systems, monitored employees to enforce safety and work performance standards, and maintained positive relationships with clients and senior staff. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as an Information Professional at the US Navy, where they were an Electronic Data Processing Officer, Divisional Officer and Information Security Manager for the USS George H. W. Bush. Finally, from 2021 to 2022, they worked as a System Administrator at Leidos, where they setup VTC equipment, tested equipment, established video conference connections worldwide and troubleshot conferences in progress. Lonnie J was also proficient in database management with the use of Telepresence Management Suite (TMS) and Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM). Additionally, they served as a Tier 1 helpdesk support as a Webex administrator to provide troubleshooting and account management. Currently, they are a System Engineer at Royce Geo, where they are responsible for similar duties.
