Ajaya Kumar Sahoo has a strong work experience spanning several industries and roles. AJAYA KUMAR started their career at Vijaya Bank as an Assistant Manager in Personnel, where they worked from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they joined Tata Communications Ltd. (formerly VSNL) as the Head of HR for the Western Region, where they spent ten years from 1996 to 2006.

In 2006, Sahoo joined RMZ Corp as the Associate Vice President of Human Resources. AJAYA KUMAR held this position until 2008 and was responsible for managing the entire HR function for the group. During this time, they also played a key role in forming joint ventures with two international partners.

Sahoo then moved to Tata Steel in 2008 and served as the Chief of Human Resources for Raw Materials, GMR, and NRD. This role lasted until 2010.

Since 2010, Sahoo has been associated with the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. AJAYA KUMAR initially served as the General Manager of Group HR and was later promoted to the role of Vice President of Group Corporate HR. In their current position as Executive Director (Group Corporate HR), they are responsible for overseeing HR functions across various sectors such as Power, Mining, Retail, Carbon Black, and Education. AJAYA KUMAR'sresponsibilities include leadership development, performance management, executive coaching, and setting up HR practices in new initiatives.

Throughout their career, Sahoo has demonstrated expertise in strategic HR decision making, leadership development, talent acquisition, and HR advisory roles. AJAYA KUMAR is also a certified practicing CEO coach and has experience in EQi 2.

Ajaya Kumar Sahoo has a Master of Arts in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Utkal University, which was obtained from 1987 to 1989. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours & Distinction in Economics from Jawaharlal College, Patnagarh, from 1983 to 1987. Additionally, Ajaya Kumar Sahoo has obtained several certifications, including the Post Graduate Programme in Executive Coaching from Coaching Foundation India (CFI) in 2015, the EQ 2.0 and EQ 360 Certification Programme from Multi-Health Systems Inc. (MHS) in 2015, and the Graduate Course in Executive Coaching from Coaching Foundation India (CFI) in 2013.
