Amitava Sengupta

Amitava Sengupta has extensive work experience in various leadership roles focused on digital transformation and business strategy. Amitava currently holds the position of President and Chief Digital Officer at RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, where they are responsible for planning, designing, and enabling digital transformation strategies and initiatives across the group companies. Prior to this, Amitava worked at HCL Technologies, where they served as Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Vice President. In these roles, they led teams focused on delivering solutions in digital strategy and planning, enterprise and consumer digital transformation, process automation, and process improvement for global organizations across industries. Before HCL Technologies, Amitava worked at TCS as Director of the Retail Industry Solution Unit in North America, where they led a set of retail and consumer goods accounts with profit and loss ownership. Amitava also held positions as an account manager, project manager, and technical designer/developer during their time at TCS. Amitava's career began as a faculty member at Uptron ACL.

Amitava Sengupta completed a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university from 1988 to 1992. In addition, they obtained a certification for Independent Director's Databank from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in 2023.
