Ramesh Kharat

Ramesh Kharat is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in operations management and metering. Currently serving as Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Malegaon Power Supply Ltd., a subsidiary of CESC Ltd., since May 2025, Ramesh has previously held significant roles including Head of Metering and Meter Data Analysis Group at TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited and various leadership positions at TATA Power, such as Business Unit Head and Head of Revenue Billing. Ramesh's expertise includes new meter installations, energy accounting, and commercial process consulting, demonstrated in roles at Reliance Energy and EKO Distribution Company in Nigeria. Ramesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from Sardar Patel College of Engineering and a Licence in Electrical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
