Kevin Woods

Kevin Woods has been with Retail Properties of America, Inc. (RPAI) since June 2005 and is currently their Senior Vice President, Director of Operations & Construction. Kevin provides strategic direction and leadership to a 15-person multi-disciplinary team including Operations, Architectural Design, Construction, and Administrative professionals. Kevin has facilitated new store openings and capital improvement projects, large-scale development, and redevelopment efforts throughout RPAI's nationwide portfolio. Kevin has completed over $50 million in annual capital expenditure and tenant buildout projects (300 – 400 projects per year) and has been with the organization full time since 2015. In that time, they have planned, entitled, and constructed over 100,000 sq. ft. of ground-up development projects within the existing portfolio consisting of stand-alone buildings, in-line expansions, and pad site development. Kevin has also negotiated over $100 million of general contractor construction contracts and national vendor agreements. Some of their key accomplishments include leading the complex negotiations with a County, a major Health Care System, and various other third parties that resulted in the approval for a mixed-use redevelopment of a 485,000 sq. ft. center in suburban DC anchored by a $685 million regional medical center and ultimately containing 3,000 multi-family units and 1.2 million sq. ft. of commercial space including retail, office, and hotel uses. Kevin also directed the effort to customize the CRM software to automate the project approval process and vendor contract

Kevin Woods has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame. Kevin is also certified by the State of Illinois - Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as a Licensed Real Estate Managing Broker and by the International Council of Shopping Centers as a Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX). Additionally, they are a Registered Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois.
