Alan Forbes has held various positions in the technology industry since 1998. Alan began their career as President of Auxilor, where they built the company from zero to 10 employees and from zero revenue to $1.1M before selling it to their co-founders. Alan then worked as a Product Manager for Percussion Software before becoming a Sales Engineer and Account Manager for GSX Groupware Solutions. In 2007, they were hired as a Senior Lotus Notes & Web Developer for the Federal Aviation Administration, where they developed the next-generation browser application used to track compliance certifications of airplane components. In 2008, they joined CooperTeam as a Technical Product Manager and Sales Engineer, and in 2009 they became Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Product Development for RPR Wyatt. In 2013, they became President of Epic Software LLC, and in 2017 they were appointed Chief Technology Officer of Hoozin Inc. In 2020, they began working as Chief Technology Officer for Innovative Programming Associates, Inc., where they provide senior leadership and technical direction for a virtual company that produces software to help drive cutting-edge animal research.
Alan Forbes has a comprehensive education history. Alan obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University between 1983 and 1987. Alan then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business between 1989 and 1997. In addition, Alan Forbes has obtained several certifications, including Microsoft Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in October 2019, IBM Certified e-Business Solution Advisor from IBM in July 2001, and IBM Champion 2017 - Collaboration Solutions from IBM in January 2017.
