Derek Tian

Derek Tian is a strategic consultant at RPY Innovations, specializing in vertical SaaS, marketplace, and payment technology sectors since July 2023. Previously, Derek co-founded Black Lapel, a direct-to-consumer ecommerce menswear company, where from July 2011 to April 2021, leadership was provided in growth and marketing strategies through various channels. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Lending at MidFirst Bank, overseeing underwriting and credit risk management from September 2005 to July 2011, and working as a Senior Credit Analyst at Washington Mutual Bank from June 2003 to September 2005. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from NYU Stern School of Business.
