Barry Sands

Barry Sands has over 30 years of experience in the medical device/biotechnology industry. Barry is the President and Founder of RQMIS Inc., a consulting company specialized in regulatory, clinical, quality affairs, and product management. Barry has held various executive positions throughout their career, including Vice President roles at Intrinsic Therapeutics, Impliant Inc., and EBI/Biomet. Barry has extensive experience in managing worldwide regulatory strategy/submissions, clinical studies, and quality systems/control processes. Barry also served as a Group Manager at Synthes, where they were responsible for regulatory strategy/submissions and FDA negotiations. Prior to working in the private sector, Barry held positions at Olympus and the Food and Drug Administration. Barry currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at MCPHS University.

Barry Sands obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University between 1980 and 1984. Furthermore, they pursued a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2002 to 2003.
