Adam Cantor

Director Of Hardware Engineering at RRAI

Adam Cantor has an extensive work experience in the field of engineering and robotics. Adam started their career in 2010 as an Automotive Customer Interaction and Support at Sears Holdings Corporation. Adam then worked as a Project Lead and Research Assistant at Vanderbilt Center for Intelligent Mechatronics in 2011. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Research Assistant at Aerospace Systems Design Lab. Adam then served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Hu Laboratory for Biolocomotion from 2013 to 2014, where they led a team researching swarm behavior and insect cooperation. Adam continued their research work as a Graduate Research Assistant at Sustainable Design and Manufacturing Lab from 2014 to 2015, focusing on autonomous vehicles and additive manufacturing. Adam then joined iRobot in 2015 as a Senior Hardware Lead Engineer, responsible for sustaining engineering, failure analysis, and product design improvements. In 2016, Adam became the Director of Engineering at RSE: Robots in Service of the Environment, leading the design and development of mobile robotic platforms. Adam then joined Sam's Club in 2020 as a Senior Engineering Manager, and later moved on to ICON as the Director of Mobile Robot Hardware. Currently, Adam is serving as the Director of Hardware Engineering at RRAI.

Adam Cantor earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University between 2008 and 2012. Following that, they obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2012 and 2015.
