Leonid Sapronov has a strong background in engineering, with a focus on robotic technologies and autonomous navigation algorithms. Leonid began their career as an Intern at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in 2002. In 2006, they joined Robotic Research as an Engineer, where they worked until 2009. Leonid then moved on to Orbital Sciences Corporation in 2010, starting as an Engineer and eventually becoming a Senior Engineer. In 2015, Sapronov joined RRAI as an Engineer, working on a wide range of robotic technologies, including ground and aerial vehicles with autonomous navigation capabilities. Leonid has held various roles at RRAI, including Senior Staff Engineer and is currently serving as a Principal Engineer since August 2023.
Leonid Sapronov earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Aero/Astro Engineering at Stanford University, from 2003 to 2005.
