Mr. Kathrow brings over 20 years of worldwide experience in the field of Software Change Management to RRMac Associates. Prior to becoming the Senior Vice President of RRMac, Mr. Kathrow held the positions of Lead Software Developer and Senior Software Engineer at Serena Software® in San Mateo, California, USA. During his time at Serena®, he led the development and deployment of the Enterprise Release Option (ERO) of the change management product ChangeMan®, the re-design and implementation of the Software Audit and Impact Analysis modules of ChangeMan® that detect and correct out-of-sync situations between source and copy/include codes, subroutines and executable modules, as well as several other productivity tools.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Kathrow was the Senior Programmer and Analyst for the Westpac Banking Corporation located in Sydney, Australia. He was influential in establishing the Australian banks’ requirements in the Check Processing Control System (CPCS) and took part in the development of CPCS Release 11, including 4 months programming in the IBM Document Processing Lab in Charlotte, North Carolina. He led the deployment of CPCS Release 11 with image processing capabilities in Westpac, and designed, implemented and deployed a mainframe based Expert System for technical support of CPCS, that reduced the time spent for solving production problems tenfold.
In addition, Mr. Kathrow holds a US patent for the invention of the Method and Apparatus for Identifying the Existence of Differences Between Two Files, (US Patent 6,393,438 B1, May 21, 2002.), a Master of Science Degree in Information Science, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, and is a Corporate Governance Expert certified through Tulane University Law School. Mr. Kathrow’s years of outstanding contribution and extraordinary expertise in the SCM arena make him an invaluable part of the RRMac Associates Management Team.
