Kirsten B. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2002, they worked as a Work Study/Clerical employee at the Veterans Affairs Regional Office. Kirsten then worked as an Armed Security/Investigator at Verdad Investigations and Protection Agency in 2003, and as a Fire Watch/Security Safety Officer at Mid-state Raceway, Inc in 2004. From 2005 to 2022, Kirsten worked at Gryphon Security as an Armed Security/Investigator. In 2006, they also became a firefighter at the North Syracuse Fire Department. In 2011, Kirsten joined OCM BOCES as a Job Coach, where they coached disabled high school students in employment skills. Kirsten later worked as a 4-H Leader at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County starting in 2013. In 2011, they also founded and coordinated CNY Homeschoolers United. Kirsten'smost recent roles include working as a Corporate Security Officer at Rapid Response Monitoring since 2021 and as a Security Coordinator at Everson Museum of Art starting in 2022.

Kirsten B. obtained a Master's degree in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies from American Military University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Criminal Justice-Corrections Concentration from Kaplan University from 2008 to 2012. Kirsten also pursued an Applied Associates degree in Criminal Justice from Onondaga Community College, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia College, Hancock. In terms of additional certifications, Kirsten obtained a NYS 4-H Shooting Sports Archery Instructor certification from NYS 4-H Shooting Sports in June 2019, a NYS DEC Hunter Safety Instructor certification from Nys Dept Of Environmental Cons in May 2019, a NYS 4-H Shooting Sports Air Rifle Instructor certification from NYS 4-H Shooting Sports in February 2019, a Cornell Cooperative Extension Most Club Diversity certification from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County in November 2018, a Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga Leader of the Year 2018 award from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County in November 2018, and a CCE Ornithology Ambassador certification from Cornell University in October 2018.
