Ahmed Abd-El-Meguid

Ahmed Abd-El-Meguid, PhD, PE has over 20 years of experience in the engineering field. Ahmed began their career at Applied Science International, LLC as a Quality Assurance Engineer. Ahmed then moved on to Dar Al Handasah, where they worked as a Bridge Engineer for four years. In 2009, they joined AIA Engineers, starting as a Project Engineer and eventually advancing to the role of Senior Project Manager.

In 2019, Ahmed joined CONSOR Engineers as a Senior Vice President, where they remained until 2022. During this time, they gained extensive experience and expertise in senior management roles. Ahmed then joined S&B Infrastructure, Ltd. as the Vice President of Transportation, and in 2023, they will be taking on the role of Vice President at RRP Consulting Engineers LLC.

Ahmed has a strong background in bridge engineering, particularly in working with TXDOT on a variety of bridge projects. Their work spans from simple to complex bridges, demonstrating their versatility and technical skills. Throughout their career, Ahmed has consistently demonstrated their leadership abilities and their commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Ahmed Abd-El-Meguid, PhD, PE obtained a Ph.D in Civil Structural Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2006-2008. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from Cairo University from 2001-2005. Ahmed also holds a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from Cairo University, which they completed from 1996-2001. In addition to their educational background, Ahmed has received certifications in Fracture Critical Bridge Inspection and Bridge Inspection from the National Highway Institute in 2016 and 2013 respectively. Ahmed is also certified as a Professional Engineer in Oklahoma and Texas, obtained in 2012 and 2009 respectively.
