Richard Sumner - Miet Msyl Ctsp Risc

Richard Sumner has over 30 years of experience in the security consulting industry. Richard is currently the Managing Director of RS Security Consultants Ltd, where they oversee the day-to-day operations of the business and works with clients to develop customized electronic security systems. Prior to this role, Richard held various positions at companies such as AECOM, Advanced Security Partners Ltd, and Pointer Ltd, gaining expertise in engineering, commissioning, and supervision. Richard is also a member of the Association of Security Consultants and has previously worked as a security lecturer at Leeds College of Building. Richard began their career as an apprentice security engineer at SECOM Plc.

Richard Sumner has a NVQ Level 3 Security Assessor qualification from Leeds College of Building. Richard also has completed City & Guilds 185 Part 1 & 2 courses in CCTV & Access Control and Intruder Alarms from the same institution. Richard attended Nab Wood Grammar School, and later pursued a City & Guilds 730 Teaching Qualification at the University of Leeds. Additionally, they obtained the AXIS Certified Professional certification from Axis Communications in 2023.
