John Cannan

John Cannan is an experienced Risk Officer at Tower Insurance, with a tenure at RSA starting in June 2018. Prior to this role, Cannan served as an Operations Manager at BP from January 2014 to May 2018 and as an Area Manager at G4S from March 2012 to December 2013, overseeing security operations for a major retail bank in London and managing a £7 million budget. Cannan's military background includes various roles in the British Army from January 2003 to January 2011, including Personnel Operations Officer, Operations and Plans Officer, Intelligence Officer, and Infantry Commander of the 1st Battalion The Green Howards. Cannan began military training as an Officer Cadet at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2002. Educational qualifications include a degree in History & Politics from the University of Warwick and a Diploma in Maritime Business Management from Lloyds Maritime Academy.
