Shelby Angel's work experience includes various legal roles in different companies. Shelby is currently serving as the Vice President & General Counsel at RSG Group GmbH, which includes Gold's Gym, JOHN REED, and HEIMAT. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Corporate Counsel at Match Group. Shelby also held the position of Vice President & Senior Counsel at Gold's Gym and worked as Counsel at the same company. Before joining Gold's Gym, Shelby was a Partner at Estes Thorne & Carr PLLC. Shelby began their legal career as an Associate in commercial litigation at Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP (now Foley Lardner LLP) and Hermes Sargent Bates, LLP. Shelby also worked as an Associate in corporate and securities at Baker Botts.
Shelby Angel graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2003 with a Juris Doctor degree. Prior to that, they attended San Diego State University from 1998 to 2000, where they earned a B.A. in International Business and Spanish. Before their time at San Diego State, they attended Washburn University from 1996 to 1998.
