Richard Stump has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Richard started their career as a Civil Engineering Officer in the United States Air Force, where they were responsible for design, construction, and leadership of military teams and programs. After leaving the Air Force, they joined Stanley Consultants as a Project Principal, where they handled international business development. Richard then moved up to become Vice President and held multiple roles within the company, including Regional Asia-Pacific Manager and Asia-Pacific Client Services Manager. In 2010, they joined RS&H as the Vice President of Aerospace and Defense, overseeing the management and growth of programs with government and commercial clients. Richard later joined DFS Design Firm Seminars as a Trainer and Educator, where they were responsible for educating professionals in the built environment sector. Currently, they serve as the Chair of the Integrity Management Committee at FIDIC - International Federation of Consulting Engineers, leading efforts to fight against corruption in the global markets. Overall, Richard Stump has extensive experience in leadership, business development, project delivery, and advocating for integrity and ethical practices in the engineering industry.

Richard Stump earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1993. Richard further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Architecture degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1996. In addition to their degrees, Richard Stump also holds certifications as a LEED AP BD+C from the US Green Building Council, and as a Registered Architect from the State of Iowa and Territory of Guam.
