Nirasha Perera is an experienced commercial analyst, currently working at RSL Art Union since November 2022. Prior to this role, Nirasha served as a Pricing Analyst for Ancillary Revenue at Virgin Australia from August 2018 to November 2022, where responsibilities included forecasting, pricing analysis, and supporting campaigns. Earlier experience includes working as a Junior Assistant Accountant at Platinum Accounting Australia, handling month-end duties, BAS preparation, and payroll functions, and as a Quantitative Research Analyst at Amba Research, where collaboration with Dresdner Kleinwort, London involved providing offshore investment analysis. Nirasha holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Colombo and is a passed finalist in Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, along with completing GCE Advanced Level studies at Holy Family Convent, Colombo 4.

RSL Art Union
The RSL Art Union (www.rslartunion.com.au) is Australia's largest prize home lottery, raising funds which allow RSL Queensland to provide much-needed support to Queensland's veterans and assist in funding programs for veterans throughout Australia. The RSL Art Union was created in the spirit of mateship following World War I. Returned veterans were finding it difficult to reintegrate into mainstream society as a result of both physical injury and the harmful mental effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Many veterans were living in poverty and despair. As a way to provide a secure funding source for RSL Queensland, the RSL Art Union was created, allowing the continuation of the support programs so many veterans, and their families relied upon. RSL Queensland commenced its first fundraising operations in 1956. Today, the RSL Art Union continues to deliver critical funding for the support of returned Queensland veterans from recent conflict, as well as those on the long journey to recovery from past deployments, in the form counselling, financial aid, accommodation, rehabilitation and much more. Every ticket sold helps Queensland veterans and their families, and assists in funding programs for veterans throughout Australia.
