Tim Bennett-Hart has a diverse and extensive work experience. Currently, they serve as a Non-Executive Director at the Federation of Awarding Bodies since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at RSL Awards from May 2022, where they also served as the Director of Academic from May 2018 to May 2022. In these roles, they oversaw the development of qualifications, managed budgets, engaged with stakeholders, and implemented new technologies in assessment and publishing.
Additionally, Tim has served as a Board Trustee at CDMT since October 2021 and as a Governor at Hinchley Wood School since April 2021. Tim also worked as an External Examiner at the University of Brighton from September 2016 to September 2018.
Earlier in their career, Tim worked at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where they held various leadership roles, including Head of Teaching and Learning from April 2016 to May 2018 and Leader of Teaching and Learning from September 2015 to April 2016. During their time at the Academy, they contributed to the growth and improvement of education across multiple campuses.
Tim also has experience as a Composer/Producer, working independently from September 2004 to September 2017. Tim has been involved in teaching and lecturing roles as well, having worked as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Sussex from December 2013 to January 2016 and as a Music Production Tutor from September 2013 to December 2013. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Lecturer at the Academy of Contemporary Music from September 2007 to December 2013.
Tim Bennett-Hart began their education at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Popular Music from 2001 to 2003. Tim then furthered their education by attending Kingston University from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Music. In 2007 and 2008, Tim enrolled at the University of Greenwich to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in the field of Education.
