Ray James is currently serving as the President of RSL NSW and as a Director of RSL National. With a background in the Royal Australian Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and in the NSW Police Force as a Police Sergeant, Ray has extensive experience in both military and law enforcement sectors. Ray has also received training in company directorship from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

The Returned and Services League of Australia New South Wales Branch (RSL NSW) was formed in 1917 and currently has over 30,000 members in 315 sub-Branches in communities across New South Wales. RSL NSW Mission Statement: To provide for the well-being, care, compensation and commemoration of serving and ex-serving Defence Force personnel and their dependants and promote Government and Community awareness of the need for a stable and progressive Australia. Vision: To be recognised and respected as the preeminent association within the Defence Family in New South Wales.
