Brendan Cape Cbv

Brendan Cape, CPA CBV, has a strong background in financial investigations and dispute advisory services. Brendan is currently serving as the Senior Director of Financial Investigations and Dispute Advisory Services at RSM Canada, a position they have held since March 2019. Prior to this, Brendan worked at Meaden & Moore International as a Senior Manager from June 2010 to February 2019. Brendan also gained experience as an Associate at Gottschalk Forensic Accounting & Valuations Inc. from May 2006 to May 2010, and as an Assistant Controller at Cundari / SFP from September 2001 to April 2006. Brendan began their career as a Staff Accountant at Grant Thornton from September 1999 to July 2001.

Brendan Cape, CPA CBV, obtained their Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance from Ryerson University in 1999. In 2004, they acquired the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. Following that, in 2012, Brendan obtained the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) certification from The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators. Brendan further enhanced their qualifications by becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) in 2013. In 2015, Brendan pursued the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) certification from the AICPA. Lastly, they obtained the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) certification from the AICPA in 2019.
