Chenglin Xu is an accomplished professional in the field of photonics with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as a Product Manager at Synopsys since October 2014, Chenglin manages RSoft simulation software for photonics devices, circuits, and systems. Prior to this role, Chenglin worked as a Senior Application Engineer at RSoft Design Group from August 2007, a position within Synopsys. Chenglin has also held academic positions, including a professorship at Shandong University from December 2005 to August 2007. Notably, Chenglin co-founded Apollo Photonics Inc and served as Chief Scientist from September 1996 to December 2005, and worked as an Optical Engineer at JDSU from June 1994 to August 1996. Chenglin earned a Ph.D. in Photonics from the University of Waterloo and holds a Master of Engineering in Optics/Optical Sciences and a Bachelor's degree from Tianjin University.
