Amy King

Amy King is a seasoned professional in wildlife conservation and research, currently serving as a Senior Research Assistant at RSPB since May 2022. Previously, Amy held various positions at RSPB, including Senior Aviculturist for the Gough Island Restoration Programme and Project Officer for the Orkney Native Wildlife Project, where responsibilities included planning public consultations and managing wildlife monitoring initiatives. Amy's experience spans multiple organizations, including Scottish Natural Heritage and Wildlife Management International Ltd, where skills in project development, fieldwork, and species recovery were honed. Early career roles involved leading birding tours with Naturetrek and implementing crane aviculture with WWT. Amy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology from Swansea University, completed in 2007.
