Cameron Plese has extensive experience in sustainable development and government affairs, notably as Head of Government Affairs for North America and Europe at the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) from September 2018 to April 2021, alongside roles as Head of North America and US Representative. Prior to RSPO, Cameron served as a Grants Assistant at Open Society Foundations and as an Engagement Associate with Lwala Community Alliance, focusing on grant writing and partnership management. Additional experience includes serving as a Content Editor and Communications Consultant with the Global Green Growth Institute and as a Program Officer at Caminos de Agua, emphasizing safe water access and research on water policy. Cameron holds a Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development with a focus on Water Management and Policy from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Portland State University.
