Director Market Transformation at Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)

Inke van der Sluijs has extensive work experience in the field of sustainability and policy advising. Inke currently holds the position of Director Market Transformation at the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) since January 2021. Prior to that, they served as Head of European Operations and Technical Manager Europe at RSPO from 2013 to 2020. Inke also worked as a Policy Advisor for Sustainable Development at the Product Board for Margarine, Fats and Oils (MVO) from 2012 to 2013, and as a Policy Officer for Maritime Affairs at the Dutch Fish Product Board from 2011 to 2012. Inke has a background in research and academia, having worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at McGill University from 2008 to 2010, and as a PhD Student at Leiden University from 2003 to 2008.

Inke van der Sluijs has a strong educational background in the field of biological sciences. Inke completed their PhD in Animal Ecology from Leiden University, graduating in 2007. Prior to that, Inke earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biology, with a specialization in General Biology, from Leiden University in 2002. Inke began their higher education journey at Hogeschool IJselland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Technology (HLO) and ecological sciences, graduating in 2000. Before entering higher education, Inke attended Rijnlands Lyceum, although the specific years and degrees obtained from this educational institution are unknown.
