Nele Cleemput

Nele Cleemput is an experienced political and community leader, currently serving as the Eerste schepen for education, sports, and children at Stad Dendermonde since January 2013, and as a Provincieraadslid for Provincie Oost-Vlaanderen since December 2024. Cleemput has held various roles at Stad Dendermonde, including conducting responsibilities related to personnel, childcare, markets, and festivities, while also serving as a member of the municipal council. In addition to these roles, Cleemput is the chairperson of the Local Consultation Platform for Secondary Education in Dendermonde and holds several advisory positions within organizations like RSVZ - INASTI and the Red Cross-Flanders. Cleemput's educational background includes a Master's degree in History from KU Leuven and a Bachelor's degree in History from Katholieke Universiteit Brussel.
