Pedro Argôlo Piedade has held various medical physicist roles since 2004. Pedro began as an Intern at the Instituto de Eletrotécnica e Energia, IEE- USP in 2004. In 2005, they were an Intern at Unifesp - Universidade Federal de São Paulo. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Medical Physicist Resident at A.C.Camargo Cancer Center and Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. From 2008 to 2011, they were a Medical Physicist at IAMSPE - Instituto de Assistância Médica ao Servidor Público Estadual and Hospital de Amor. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Medical Physicist at Dosemed Soluções. In 2021, they became the Coordenador da Comissão de Treinamento e Pesquisa at Liga Catarinense De Combate Ao Cancer. Since 2017, they have also been the Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of RT Medical Systems.
Pedro Argôlo Piedade has a diverse educational background, beginning with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo in 2002-2006. Pedro then pursued a specialization in Radiotherapy from Fundação Antônio Prudente - Hospital A.C. Camargo from 2006-2008. In 2008-2009, they completed an additional specialization in Professional Complementation in Medical Physics from Faculdade Israelita Albert Einstein. In 2004, they also attended USP - Universidade de São Paulo, but their studies were interrupted. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Radioprotection from IFSC - Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: an Especialista em Física Médica em Radioterapia from Associação Brasileira de Física Médica - ABFM in 2008 and a Supervisor de Proteção Radiológica em Radioterapia from CNEN - Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear in 2007.
