Alex Waltz

Alex Waltz is a Senior Planner at the Regional Transportation Authority of Northeastern Illinois, specializing in Transit-Oriented Development, transportation corridor studies, and infrastructure projects that enhance accessibility to transit services. Previous roles include Planner 3 at Bohannan Huston, where Alex worked on Complete Streets studies and transportation plans, and Planner II and III at Charles County Government, contributing to safety improvements for diverse road users. Alex also gained experience as a Transportation Planning Intern at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, as well as roles in data content production and ecological research. Alex holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Transportation Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Carleton College.
