Kevin Bueso

Kevin Bueso has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Currently, they serve as the Chief Financial Officer/Sr. Deputy Executive Director of Finance, Innovation, and Technology at the Regional Transportation Authority of Northeastern Illinois (RTA). In this role, they oversee the financial function and responsibilities of the RTA, providing strategic leadership and guidance for the transit system. Kevin is responsible for financial planning, budget development, accounting, treasury operations, information technology, and capital project management oversight.

Prior to their current position, Kevin Bueso worked as the Chief Financial Officer for McHenry County from December 2019 to February 2023. Kevin also served as the Finance Director for the Village of Round Lake Beach from October 2014 to December 2019. Additionally, they held roles in the City of Waukegan, starting as a Senior Accountant from October 2009 to January 2014 and later serving as the Assistant Director of Finance from January 2014 to October 2014. Kevin began their career as a Finance Assistant in the Village of Gurnee from May 2006 to October 2009.

Kevin Bueso earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Roosevelt University, where they attended from 2003 to 2006. Following that, they pursued an MBA in Accounting & Finance from the same university from 2007 to 2009.
