Dirk Cavens

Dirk Cavens has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Dirk is currently the Head of Product at RTGS.global since July 2021. Prior to this, Dirk worked at CLS Group from 2015 to 2021, where they held the positions of Senior Business Analyst - Lead Settlement and Senior Business Analyst (contractor).

Before joining CLS Group, Dirk worked at Projective from 2011 to 2015, serving as a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. Dirk'sresponsibilities included managing implementation programs and delivering solutions for major change programs within financial institutions. Dirk also had experience working as part of an in-house development team and in collaboration with third-party software providers.

From 2000 to 2011, Dirk worked at Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS) as the Chief Business Analyst. During their tenure, CLS expanded its services to provide risk reduction for settlement of FX trades and prepared to launch a settlement service for FX Options. Dirk played a key role in these developments.

Dirk also held roles at Mercator, CIMAD (part of IBM professional services), IBM Global Services, Cimad Consultants, and EDS Group, where they worked as a Senior Business Consultant, Project Manager, and Senior Business Analyst. Dirk'sresponsibilities included advising on major projects, managing delivery of functional requirements, and acting as a liaison between development teams and clients.

Overall, Dirk Cavens has a wealth of experience in business analysis, program management, and project delivery within the financial industry.

Dirk Cavens obtained their Licentiaat degree in Computer Sciences and Applied Economics from KU Leuven, attending from 1983 to 1989. During the same period, they also pursued a Post-graduate degree in Applied Business Economics at Katholieke Universiteit. Additionally, Dirk completed a Degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, and Economics from Licentiaat in de Informatica between 1983 and 1988.
