Mirijam Trunk

Mirijam Trunk has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Mirijam is currently working at RTL Deutschland GmbH as the Chief Sustainability & Diversity Officer, a position they assumed in May 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Chief Crossmeida Officer at the same company from January 2022. Mirijam also has experience in the media industry, having served as Geschäftsführer at Bertelsmann Audio Alliance from April 2019 to May 2022. Additionally, Mirijam worked at Gruner + Jahr GmbH as an Executive Assistant to CPO/COO from January 2019 to June 2019, and as a Publishing Manager and Redakteur from November 2018 to April 2019. Mirijam gained experience in media management through the Creative Management Program (Graduate Program Media Management) at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA from April 2017 to November 2018. Mirijam Trunk also worked as a Newsanchor and Redakteur at Bayerischer Rundfunk from September 2016 to April 2017, and as STERN Ressort Kultur / Unterhaltung and Stern Crime at Gruner + Jahr GmbH & Co KG from July 2015 to March 2016. Mirijam has additional experience in reporting and journalism, having worked as a Reporter at Bayerischer Rundfunk from August 2012 to June 2015, and in Studio Washington at ZDF from March 2014 to May 2014. Mirijam Trunk also briefly worked at the European Parliament in the Abgeordnetenbüro from January 2014 to March 2014. Mirijam began their career as a Studentin at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München and completed their studies in 2014.

Mirijam Trunk completed their Master of Journalism degree from Deutsche Journalistenschule from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended American University from 2013 to 2014 where they participated in the Washington Semester Program with a focus on American Politics. Mirijam obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in 2013, majoring in Psychology and Communication Science. In 2007, they attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, TX, where they pursued a degree in Vocal Performance, specifically in Klassischer Gesang. Additionally, in 2015, Mirijam Trunk became a Stipendiatin at Hanns-Seidel Foundation, participating in a journalistic Förderprogramm.
