Sonja Schwetje

Sonja Schwetje is the current Geschäftsführerin of RTL Nord GmbH since February 2025 and has been actively involved with Bertelsmann as Vorsitzende of AG Pressefreiheit since September 2019. Previously, Sonja held various leadership roles at ntvNachrichten from November 2010 to February 2025, including Programm-Geschäftsführerin and Chefredakteurin. Additionally, Sonja served as Chefredakteurin for RTL News from April 2021 to February 2025 and held the position of Chair of the Board at ENEX from June 2021 to December 2023. Sonja's early career included roles at RTL WEST GmbH and RTL Nord GmbH, where responsibilities ranged from Redaktionsleiterin to reporter. Educational accomplishments include a Diplom-Kauffrau in Betriebswirtschaft & Journalistik from the University of Hamburg and completion of an online course in Data Science Principles from Harvard Business School Online.
