Scott Adair

Chief Financial Officer at RTS - Regional Transit Service

Scott Adair joined RGRTA in January 2013. He previously served as the County of Monroe’s Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for the overall development and management of the County’s financial management function, as well as Purchasing, Real Property, Treasury, and financial reporting. He served as the County Controller before being named CFO in August 2008. Prior to joining Monroe County, Adair was a senior manager for KPMG LLP, and worked with numerous government municipalities and not-for-profits in New York State.

Adair holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Geneseo. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York, a council member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and served as President of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants in 2015. In 2012 he was awarded the Financial Executive of the Year Award for Non-Profits by the Rochester Business Journal and the Rochester Chapter of the Financial Executives International. He is a 2003 recipient of the Rochester Business Journal Forty under 40 Award. He serves on the Board of Directors of Baden Street Settlement House.
