Mukhtar Khan has over 20 years of work experience in sales and operations management. Mukhtar began their career in 1999 at Interoute as a Sales Representative. In 2001, they moved to eSmart Systems San Bhd as the Head of Sales. From 2003 to 2010, they worked at Telcoinabox in various roles such as National Sales Manager, Wholesale Manager and Commercial Manager. During this time, the company was ranked #7 in BRW's fastest growing businesses. In 2010, they joined Inform Group Pty Ltd as the General Manager of Sales Operations and grew the annual revenue by 250% and increased the customer base by 300%. In 2015, they moved to Trilico as the Global Account Manager and was responsible for managing the largest strategic wholesale existing accounts. In 2018, they joined IMC/Bank of Telecom as the UK Sales Manager and was tasked with driving wholesale direct and indirect voice customers. Currently, they are the Sales Operations Manager at RTX RouteTrader.

Mukhtar Khan attended the University of Westminster, where they obtained a BA in Business. Prior to that, they attended Chiltern Edge and King James' College.
