Alex Lay

Alex Lay is a Senior Research Engineer at RTX, where they build and deploy scalable microservices to support government R&D and production systems. With over five years of experience in backend software engineering, Alex has designed distributed systems and operationalized machine learning models across various organizations. They previously served as a Staff Scientist at Raytheon Technologies, where they developed multimodal neural networks and managed containerized environments. Alex began their academic journey at The University of Alabama, earning both a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Master's degree in Computer Science.
