Marc Wenger has extensive work experience in sales and operations, primarily in the aviation and defense industries. Marc is currently serving as the Director of Regional Sales and Key Account Management for EMEA at RUAG since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Regional Director of Sales for Africa, Asia, and the Middle East at RUAG from March 2019 to January 2021.
Before joining RUAG, Marc worked at Schweizer Armee, the Swiss Army, starting in 2003. Marc held various positions, including Chief of Operations and Major, from July 2021 to the present. Previously, they served as a Flight Operations Officer and Captain from January 2016 to June 2021, and as a Platoon Leader and First Lieutenant from January 2003 to December 2015.
Additionally, Marc had earlier experience at RUAG Aviation, where they worked from 2006 to 2019 in several sales roles. These included Senior Manager of Regional Sales for Asia and the Middle East from January 2015 to February 2019, Area Sales Director for Asia from October 2011 to December 2014, Sales Manager for Subsystems & Products from January 2011 to September 2011, Sales Manager for Products & Solutions from January 2010 to September 2011, and Sales Manager for Space within the former RUAG Aerospace division from September 2006 to December 2009.
Furthermore, Marc attended the Luftwaffen Offiziersschule at Schweizer Armee in July 2002 and completed their training in November of the same year.
Marc Wenger attended Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) in 2021, where they completed the Session européenne des responsables d'armement (SERA 32) program. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2005, they studied at Universität Fribourg and earned a Master of Arts in Management degree.
