Richard Joel Curran C.eng

Richard Joel Curran is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) with extensive experience in the power and aerospace sectors. Currently serving as the Business Development Manager at RUAG since April 2021, Richard previously held the role of Contract Manager at SR Technics Group, where responsibilities included driving profitability and managing disputes for a significant revenue-generating portfolio. As a Senior Contract Manager at GE, Richard successfully managed a divested portfolio of O&M service contracts. Earlier roles included Customer Service Manager at both GE and Alstom, overseeing long-term service agreements for natural gas power plants with full P&L responsibility. Richard’s career began as a Gas Turbine Test Engineer at QinetiQ and includes an internship as a CFD engineer at ABB. Richard holds an MSc in Aerodynamics from Cranfield University, a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Technological University Dublin, and postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration and Management from the University of Bath.
