Leila Mashouf

Co-Founder & CTO at Rubi Laboratories

Leila Mashouf is the Co-Founder and CTO of Rubi Laboratories. Leila has a background in research and has worked as a research assistant at Harvard Medical School, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and Cedars-Sinai. Her work has focused on investigating novel immunotherapeutic strategies to treat glioblastoma, including oncolytic viral therapy and local drug therapy. Leila has also worked on designing and testing a biodegradable nanopolymer anti-cancer molecular delivery system that specifically delivers drugs to brain tumor cells through the blood-brain barrier using a targeting monoclonal antibody.

Leila Mashouf's educational career began with a bachelor's degree from The Johns Hopkins University in computational neuroscience, entrepreneurship & management. Leila then went on to earn their MD from Harvard Medical School.

Leila Mashouf reports to Neeka Mashouf, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Arzu Sandikci - Head of Bioengineering, Rebekah Holtsclaw - Research Scientist, and Jesse Villar - Head of Process Innovation.
