Tom Montag has a wide range of experience in the banking industry, with a career spanning over three decades. Tom began their career as an associate at First National Bank of Chicago in 1982 before moving to Goldman Sachs in 1985, where they spent the next 22 years rising up the ranks to become a partner and global co-head of the Securities Division. Montag then joined Bank of America in 2008, assuming the roles of President of Global Banking and Markets and Chief Operating Officer for over 13 years before leaving in 2021. In 2022, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Rubicon Carbon.
Tom Montag obtained their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Stanford University from 1975 to 1979. Tom then pursued their Master's degree in Business Administration, with a major in Finance, from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management for the years 1980 to 1982.
