Austin Smith

Austin Smith is currently the COO at Rubicon Founders. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation from October 2019 to January 2021. Austin has also served as the Acting U.S. Representative to the UN Economic and Social Council from February 2017 to October 2019, and as a Litigation Attorney at Ellis, Lawhorne, and Sims from May 2007 to May 2011. In addition, Austin Smith has also served as the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Governor of South Carolina from May 2011 to January 2017, and as a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Governor of South Carolina from August 2003 to August 2006.

Austin Smith attended the University of South Carolina for both their undergraduate and law degrees. Austin earned a B.A. in Political Science, Theirtory, and then went on to earn their J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
