Process Automation Engineer at Rubicon Water

Jeremy Rotstein has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Jeremy began their career as an Electrical Engineer at Water Resources Alliance in 2009, where they worked on projects involving water treatment plant control systems and low voltage electrical design. Jeremy also worked as an Electrical Engineer at Sinclair Knight Merz from 2009 to 2011.

In 2010, Jeremy joined the Department of Infrastructure Energy & Resources as a Systems Engineer. Jeremy then moved on to Horizon Power, where they held the positions of Renewable Energy Engineer and Electrical Engineer. During their time at Horizon Power, Jeremy played a leading role in developing technical requirements for grid connection of inverters, which are now incorporated into industry standards.

In 2014, Jeremy worked as a Test Engineer at Yarra Trams for a year before taking on the role of Director at Tactilent in 2015. In 2017, they joined Environexus as a Lead Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development of an IoT gateway from scratch, utilizing concepts like Domain Driven Design for automation APIs.

Jeremy then joined Yarra Trams again in 2020, this time as a Systems Engineer, before transitioning to their current role as a Process Automation Engineer at Rubicon Water later that year.

Throughout their career, Jeremy has acquired expertise in areas such as automation, software development, IoT, grid connection, and electrical engineering.

Jeremy Rotstein attended the University of Melbourne from 2003 to 2008. During this time, they pursued two degrees simultaneously. Jeremy obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Jeremy also earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Management. No field of study was specified for the Bachelor of Commerce degree.
