Horacio Werner, PhD has a long and varied work experience. Horacio began their career in 2000 as the CEO/ Vice President of Latin America South for Motorola. In 2002, they moved to the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires as the Vice-Minister of International Economic Development for Argentina. In 2007, they joined Cisco Systems as the Managing Director of Sustainable SmartCities and IoT, where they were responsible for Americas and Europe direct and channel sales, strategy, and customer success, as well as solutions ecosystem development and complex project management. In 2017, they became the Managing Director of OneTech, where they specialized in Sustainability IoT & SaaS, CyberRisk, Customer Success & Digital Transformation. In 2019, they moved to ServiceNow as a Sr. Consultant for Strategic Accounts - SaaS, Digital Workflows. In 2020, they joined Ellona as the Vice President of Americas - Sustainability IoT & SaaS Sales, Channels & Customer Success, where they built the Americas business for Sustainability Intelligence technologies for environmental events'/ remediation, prevention, and planning. Horacio currently serves as an Advisor (NGO Volunteer) for the Fundación Agenda Antártica, beginning in 2022.

Horacio Werner, PhD has an extensive educational background. Horacio attended Harvard Business School in 2016 and completed the Presidents' Seminar in Business Administration and Management, General. Horacio then obtained an Executive Business Administration - Master from IAE Business School. Following this, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) - magna cum laude in Natural Sciences from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Horacio also received a Master of Environmental Sciences (M.Sc.) from Universidad Pública de Navarra and studied Development Economics and International Development at Freie Universität Berlin. Additionally, they hold certifications from the Air & Waste Management Association, Digital Cloud Training, Cybrary, Università Bocconi, Singularity University, Salesforce, and the International Coach Federation.
